TEMPA T 'Next Hype' NO HATS NO HOODS RECORDS RELEASED: 2nd MARCH 'Next Hype' is the No Hats No Hoods first single of 2009 and a return to form by one of grime's biggest characters. Part of the Slew Dem crew, Tempa T is best known for his now infamous 'Battle Riddim' and his overly energetic live performances and individual style. 'Next Hype' has seen support from BBC Radio 1's Tim Westwood and Ras Kwame, and received plays from Kiss 100's Logan Sama. The track has courted controversy however and has been banned from the daytime playlist on BBC 1xtra. This hasn't stopped the track becoming a youtube favourite and the track is considered the latest in must-have grime releases. Remixes are forthcoming from Brackles (who recently officially remixed Kid Cudi's number 1 hit 'Day and Night' for Ministry of Sound) and Scratcha DVA. A video of the track is also forthcoming.
