Guajira '78 / Tabaco Y Ron
A 2 track cumbia single (7m 45s) — released December 1st 2007 on Names You Can Trust
Greenwood Rhythm Coalition's first 7-inch smokes with a couple of floor-tested Latin dance numbers. Side A takes a unique approach to a Guajira with its relentless drums and disco-fueled outro. Originally reworked by guest artist Luz Mob (Crystol Top Recordings), GRC turns Side B into a B-Boy version of the classic Cumbia.
Support and airplay from TM Juke, Miles Cleret (Soundway Records), Dom Servini (Wah Wah 45s), Jelly Jazz and O-Dub (solesides.com).
