Here Comes Treble Sampler

A 4 track beats & breaks ep (19m 15s) — released February 18th 2008 on TrebleO

Taken from the forthcoming Here Comes Treble compilation, this sampler features tracks by Lukid, Bass Clef, Dorian Concept and Daedelus. With releases on pioneering labels like Ninjatune, Blank Tapes, Werks, Plug Research and Hefty amongst many others, these artists are all currently considered to be pushing the musical envelope and helping to create a varied and exciting electronic music scene. The full compilation also features new tracks from Nu Era [Marc Mac/4hero], Domu alongside Mark Force from Bugz in the Attic, jazz outfits The Sub Ensemble and Ben Mi Duck, Japanese deep house guru Rondenion and many others . . . First up on this sampler is Lukid with his sublime track Twice with haunting strings, lo-fi beats and a killer hook, this is forward thinking hip hop at its finest. Bass Clef reinterprets Sonar Circles "Cry" stripping it back to a dirty low down dub step groove in his own unique style, only to then throw at it intricate beat edits, filtered amen's and lots of ridiculously heavy bass lines, a classic 7 minute Bass Clef ride!! Dorian Concept creates an ultrasonic electronic sound-scape with his offering "Thank Capital Letters" already being championed by DJ's as diverse as Benji B through to Mixmaster Morris he is sure to become a big name in 2008 and this song will have you craving for more of the Dorian sound. Lastly Daedelus sums up the TrebleO philosophy of mixing different styles and genres by taking you on a crazy lesson through electronic music by cramming in as many samples and styles as you possibly can into a four and a half minute song! You have now entered the strange world of TrebleO.
