The Aura

Project: Mooncircle

Released: 25th November 2016 | 13 track downtempo album

'The Aura' and the belief in it can be found in almost all cultures in one form or another. Often signifying fields of energy and spirituality, an aura is a luminous radiational halo surrounding a person or object. It is said that all objects and all living things manifest such an aura. In other respects the aura has also been described as a map of the thoughts and feelings surrounding a person.

Pieced together from sounds and samples from all over the globe, the album's aim is to charge listeners with harmony and a feeling of connectedness to the world. Reflecting on his own attitude towards life and the importance of inner balance, Pavel attempts to share some of the spiritual experiences he made while traveling. The lengthy process of creation included numerous reworks of each track and intensive listening sessions in order to keep the balance between the essential details and those that are redundant to the album's atmosphere.

The album includes collaborations with old friends like Mujuice, Graciela Maria as well as some newly added artists - L.A. rapper BLU, Starving Yet Full - ex-vocalist from Azari III and Mitia Dedoni, who created the haunting album cover.

'The Aura' comes out worldwide on limited grey-marbled vinyl (including download code).

"Absolutely gorgeous! Loving first four tracks!!!"
Nemone, BBC 6 Music
"A lofty yet fleeting intro quickly gives way to a wavering bass line backed by crisp, understated percussion. Further layers are added as bright, glittery synth stabs mimic the undeniably groovy rhythm. The result is a uniquely hybrid piece of music, floating somewhere between glitch and lo-fi electronica; think Thom Yorke meets Russ Liquid and Mad Zach. And if that doesn’t pique your interest, we truly don’t know what will."
Matthew Wolfe, YourEDM
"Carrying a strong vocal turn from Starving Yet Full (formerly of Azari III), “Euphoria” opens out with glowing keys, introducing the soul-filled feature to drive it towards a warm, airy and melodic destination. Spiritual yet ambiguous in sound and lyric alike, this track is a slow burner that flickers, flames and genty cascades over two and a half minutes."
"Moving, emotional and eclectic piece of work!"
Ryan Middleton, Music Times
"Funky fresh!"
Phil Taggart, BBC Radio 1
Tom Ravenscroft, BBC 6 Music
