Psychonavigation Records is excited to welcome our first Japanese artist to the label. Following the success of his album on our sister label (Pure Wave Recordings) we present the latest work from the prolific ambient artist 'Hakobune' aka Takahiro Yorifuji. Born in a small town in Hyogo, Japan,Yorifuji currently resides in Tokyo.

'Tonight Is Why' is the artists first foray into the world of releasing an album which comprises of one long solo piece of music.

Over the 39 minutes we are swept away to an imaginary world, dark and bleak one minute and other times strange and mysterious. The album was recorded one late spring morning, using guitar and some pedals. To simply classify the music as Ambient drone is to miss the point entirely though, listen closer and you will hear a wonderful subtlety within Takahiro's music. His productions share many similarities with the work of Brian Eno and fellow Japanese producer Tetsu Inoue.
