Chronos

A 11 track ambient album (50m 19s) — released September 15th 2014 on Psychonavigation

Chronos is the fourth studio album released by the Italian Pianist and Composer Andrea Carri, the first with Psychonavigation Records. The main theme of the album is Time, how we approach it, our relationship with past, how we live the present and what we expect from the future. In particular starting from the concept that "Time flies", is there something that make us eternal? Music is the solution, suggested by this journey made by the notes of a piano.

This album was financed through a fundraising campaign at Music Raiser and has some guests:

Carla Chiussi at Violin

Emanuele Milani at Cello

Roberto Porpora at electric guitar and sound effects

Francesco Mantovani at synth and pad

Perry Frank at lap steel, soundscapes and visions.

For the umpteenth time the pianist hit the nail on the head, a natural continuation of the journey begun, someone to keep an eye on him and to comfortably listen to in the last sunrays of summer. - Editor indiepercui.altervista.org

Fourth album for this artist of classical formation. Brilliant and excellent sensibility that puts modern and contemporary influences in this orthodox genre which doesn't lose his elegance and essence however adding fresh and dynamics skills - Editor http://entrevistaslaguaridamusical.blogspot.com.es

Bolstering his music's appeal is the fact that it's often delicate, its tempos generally slow, and its moods alternately dramatic and reflective. It's easy to picture an audience caught up in a collective hush during a live presentation of Carri's playing. - Ron Schepper Textura.org

Andrea Carri’s more experimental ideas really work wonders on ‘Chronos’, giving the album much more depth than a conventional classical album. The strengths on the album seem to come from when Carri allows the backing musicians to add more to his own compositions, as it seems a few of the solo-tracks don’t carry the same weight. - Word press Blog The CD Critic

His songs come in drips of electronics and a revereberent smear of strings, which run off the keys like rainwater. All the while, Chronos emits a beauty that barely desires to be heard – luminous petals starting to yawn from within an opening bud, a sunset veiled in thick cloud, rendered amber for the solar glow seeping through. - Editor attn : magazine

His fourth album is fragile, beautiful and simply are best so far. An artist of a great promise is to someone who has grown in the future we must keep in the much grander, but where you especially in the here and now of should enjoy before it is too late! - Jan Willem Broek Subjectivisten.nl

To say I am enamoured with the music of Andrea Carri would be an understatement ... I am utterly besotted with his particular blend of melodic solo piano & neoclassical expression. - Editor headphonaught.co.uk

The strongest pieces on Chronos are ‘Future’ and ‘Music is Eternity’ which add violin and cello to the mix. Whilst these pieces are composed similarly to the solo piano works, the countermelodies of the strings add a very welcome extra dimension. - Matt Wakeling cyclicdefrost.com
