While recording the album, I watched alot of old movies. The majority of which were horrors like 'Eyes Without A Face' (1960), & 'Picnic At Hanging Rock' (1975). Thrillers, where special effects are non existant. Relying solely on suspence and a soundtrack, I tried to incorporate some of that into the recordings. So much so that, the album cover is a still from the latter of the two mentioned.
I recorded the majority of the album at my home in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Using as many programs and instruments as I could get my hands on. Often experimenting with different techniques and ways of recording.
Musical influences for the album include, Boards Of Canada, Philip Glass, and William Basinski's ' The Disintegration Loops'. [Gary Kelly aka Johhny Yesterday]
