Presenting Vol 1 of Cooker's Funky Disco EP's, we kick off with the bumpin' disco house workout 'Koolin' Around' from Sub Zero, these cheeky sample magpies usually found scratchin' around with Hip Hop beats (Eddie Scratch & DC / Slowburn) bring a raw slant to this dancefloor groove. Second up - Our favourite Martians, Bukbu, dig up a full on funky track 'Just Feel It', big bass and funky keys on a shuffly disco hustle. First up on the flip is a Hammond / Guitar groover 'Keep On It' from guitarist & producer Eddie Roberts. 'Pearl & Dean' brass, bouncin' Bass and some firing virtuoso solo work. A future JazzFunk Classic. Don't forget the last dance. 'Falls Like Rain'. All Disco's need a smoocher to finish, and this beautiful flute & piano track from Bukbu proove that even aliens have a sensitive side.'
