FOURtyFOUR

A 13 track reggae album (55m 31s) — released October 18th 2013 on Ranking Records

Finally it's here! The summation of 6 years of gigging, one summer writing on a beach in Wales and a winter in the studio, FOURtyFOUR is Gentleman's Dub Club's first ever full album release. 'FOURtyFOUR' transcends from light to dark throughout becoming the epitome of a modern classic album. The album moves effortlessly between authentic reggae styles, from roots to lovers, steppers, 2 tone, dub and all points in between and beyond. FOURtyFOUR is packed with a heavy artillery of modern dance floor dynamics, adding elements of techno, dark dubstep, hip hop and more that will keep the listener riveted throughout.

Gentleman's Dub Club was formed in 2006 in the basement of number 44 Headingley Lane, Leeds. The band consists of 9 members performing a mashed up style of Dub, Reggae, Ska and Grime.

Having built a reputation on consistently delivering one of the most energetic and exhilarating live shows to emerge from the UK bass music scene, the Gents' antics have seen them astound crowds from Goa to Glastonbury, Bestival, V Fest, Secret Garden Party and Poland's Ostroda Reggae Festival, not to mention the biggest bass-music festival in the world - Croatia's Outlook Festival.

“When I talk about energy, commitment, vibes and excitement – you haven’t seen anything until you’ve seen Gentleman’s Dub Club” - David Rodigan M.B.E DJ (BBC)

“Arguably the hottest band on the reggae/dub scene right now” - Clash Printed Press

“A high-powered and dynamic stage presence” - Evening Standard Printed Press

“Of the whole new breed of reggae and roots acts around, GDC are the most skankingly wicked; they always smash it live and on record. Immense!” - Rob Da Bank DJ (BBC)
