I'm A Good Woman

A 2 track funk single (7m 46s) — released February 4th 2013 on Record Kicks

Record Kicks celebrates 10 years of grooves with this limited edition 45. On the A side the new single from UK new deep soul & raw funk sensation Hannah Williams & The Tastemakers paying homage to Barbara Lynn with a stunning reinterpretation of her northern soul hit "I'm a good woman", able to set every dancefloor on fire! On the flip side brand new single by Lee Scratch Perry's soulful queen Susan Cadogan together with mod-reggae combo The Crabs Corporation. Susan is best known for her hit records with Scratch Perry on Trojan Records in the 1970s including top single "Hurts So Good" that went straight on n. 5 of UK top singles chart in 1975. Recorded in Kingston at Chalice's studio and mixed in Buenos Aires by Mario Siperman (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) Day after day is her brand new single, a killer rocksteady-soul cut that shows how time has not passed for Mrs Cadogan. For all rocksteady-soul lovers, get on it!
