Live Impressions

A 9 track funk album (1h 5m ) — released December 13th 2010 on Record Kicks

Glasgownian keyboardist Ray Harris and his Fusion Experience band have created a unique sound that mixes dancefloor jazz with funk, soul and elements of latin and Brazilian music. Having gained notoriety also thanks to a long series of live shows, including a lengthy tour of South-East Asia, The Marlborough Jazz Festival, Glasgow International Jazz Festival and many of the best venues in the UK, there is no doubt that this group has a solid set of performances under its belt, making their sets some of the most explosive out there. After releasing their self-titled album on RK, being the protagonists of a remix competition of single “Scaramunga†and having covered James Brown’s “Soulful Christmas†for a special “Christmas 45â€, Ray Harris & The Fusion Experience now launch “Live Impressionsâ€, an album that was recorded live at various festivals and events between the Summer of 2008 and that of 2009. From the originally penned cuts such as “My Last Chanceâ€, “There’s Nothing Like You†and “Freedomâ€, to the cover of Rusty Bryant’s “Fireater†or Booker T & The MGs’ “Green Onionsâ€, this digital release puts you in the front row of some of Ray Harris & The Fusion Experience’s most memorable shows!
