The title track 'Push Your Love on Me ' contains energetic syncopated nu- jazz beats with creamy vocals from the talented Miss Åström, put together with great jazz lines fromthe warmblue note horn section for a winning combination. The crisp and crunchy drums are a real treat for the ears, drop this tune and watch the dance floor come alive... On the flipside is the sublime 'Cookin', smooth vocals from the soulful May Yamani. Pulsing underneath are some sweet swingbeat drums and deep bass, sprinkled with crystal rhodes and spicy moog sounds.- it's all in there, complete with his trademark warm blue note horns. André Orefjärd was born and grew up in a diverse cultural suburban area in Stockholm, Sweden. His mother is Swedish and his father is from Rwanda, which has no doubt influenced his path in music. Growing up to the sounds of Manu Dibango and Marvin Gaye, and listening to hip-hop acts like De La Soul, Pete Rock and A Tribe Called Quest, André began making music of his own, while listening to productions from Quincy Jones, DJ Cam, DJ Krush and Stuart Mathewman (the producer of Maxwell and Sade). He moved to New York and started a web bureau, then one day some female friends and acknowledged Swedish music journalists found his demo and it blew their mind- they encouraged him to pursue a career in music... In the year 2000 ANDRÉ, now a talented producer influenced by soul, bossa nova, hip-hop and jazz released his debut EP, 'Back on Track'. The EP received constant radio airplay and several magazines interviewed him. This EP caught the attention of David Hill and his London based label, Nuphonic, where ANDRÉ signed. The same year 'Things Do Not Appear ' was included on the compilation 'Nuphonic 4'. ANDRÉ has also featured on the compilation 'Basement Classics' on the swedish label Raw Fusion.'
