Soul Survivor Part 1 & 2 Part one of this Soulful Funk classic which has been played on various radio station and clubs. It has the wonderful vocals of mr Chris Wilson on. A perfect up lifting gem with the rhythm section to die for. Part two more laded back with Tom Macleod setting out a blinding sax driven monster. Also includes a superb drum break in the middle of it. WONDERFUL FORWARD ON BROTHER - Heavy drums and thumping bass are the ingredients once again for this mid-tempo hard-hitter. Add to that some seriously dark overtones from a sinister sounding clavinet and big brass lines leading the tune and you have a memorable funk cut indeed. Every bar has something heavy and nothing but real instruments can be heard as soon as the needle drops. FORWARD ON IN DUB This bad boy of a remix comes courtesy of Funkshones’ bass player and co producer Danny Huckridge AKA Grudgemonkey. Expect Deep bass, sizzling drums and ghostly appearances from the rest of the instruments at hand. This cut is a heavy dub dancehall monster.
