The Session Sampler One

It's quite unbelievable that it is now 10 years in passing that Smokin' Sessions was launched as a Record label and their releases history has been nothing short of magnificent!

To mark the occasion the label is releasing a compilation – The Session – which will aim to consolidate the label's legacy and celebrate the label's future as a key player within the UK- and indeed the world's electronic music landscape.

Expect long out-of-press and highly sought-after classics from the likes of DJ Rum, Synkro, Geode, Biome and Versa & Rowl, alongside brand new and fresh material from some of the label's newer signees.

The Session will be released later this year digitally and on double-pack vinyl.

Ahead of its release, Smokin' Sessions are now presenting the first in a series of samplers from the release. On this sampler, much coveted and highly promising young artist Escapism Refuge takes the helm, with two beautifully crafted, immersive and powerful pieces of dance music.

'Unlock' on the A-side is perhaps Escapism's strongest production to date. A mesmerizing opening strings section builds the track up, before it drops into a rolling yet melodic stepper.

Meanwhile, 'Growing' on the B-side incorporates a similarly atmospheric opening, before the track again drops into a heavyweight stepping rhythm, sure to light up any dance floor.
