What A Shame EP

A 3 track jungle / drum 'n' bass ep (18m 2s) — released February 2nd 2009 on Sunrize Recordings

Sunrize 004 - Human Factor and MJazzy

The 4th release on Sunrize Recordings has taken a little longer in the oven, but boy are we happy with it!!! It just gets better and better! Now, another 12" from the label bosses themselves Human Factor and newcomer MJazzy, on a very uplifting vibe for all the club people out there.

A - Human Factor - What a Shame

Fast paced beats full of those dirty hi-hats and tambourines, just well enough distorted to carry the beautiful melancholic strings. The Powerful basslines are then introduced by the dangerous horns loop, revealing all the energy and slickness of this true brazilian Drum'n'Bass classic. Vocals join the middle break, topping up the energy for the second part of the track, all with a subtle deja-vu feeling...
This has been heavily supported by legend DJ Patife, Gilles Peterson, Jordan V, Spiritual South, DJ Cliffy, plus a wild crowd reaction from Human Factor's sets throughout last Summer, which comes to show why dogsonacid.com claims Human Factor to be the next big thing coming from Brazil.

B1 - Human Factor - It's No Use

A great cross-over brazilian Drum'n'Bass track, this was rinsed by World Music top DJ Gilles Peterson on his "Radio 1" show, and on his sets all over the world. He says: "...not all of these tracks work, but this one definitely does!"
A special treat by the full brazilian swing on the guitars by Janja Gomes gives this track the standout factor to suit the pleasure of all the party ladies on the dancefloor.

B2 - MJazzy - Live Circle

This Joint from newcomer MJazzy reflects the brazilian groove and slick feel on highly syncopated beats, and a ULTRAPHAT bassline, not necessarily tied to a latin sound. The "wobbling" synth brings in all the lazy and sexy laidback flava resulted from being brought up on the busy and diverse lifestyle of Brazil's economic centre, Sao Paulo. Feel-good vibes all over it, baby!!!
