The Dan Tune / Disciples (feat. Stee Downes)

A 2 track leftfield/idm single (11m 17s) — released April 4th 2011 on Vinyl Vibes

Our first release in 2004. Irishman Ed Eustace teams up with singer Stee Downes who later released another version of “Disciples†on his Sonar Kollektiv Album debut. Hearing these tunes was what inspired Karsten John to start his own label Vinyl Vibes Records. Magazines: Two enormous tunes here on one twelve. Don't you love it when that happens? Vinyl Vibes, first release has set a benchmark for quality with “The Dan Tune“ and it's floorshaking, double-bass heavy, percussive work-out. “Disciples“, on the other hand, is a serious broken Boogie joint, featuring one of my favourite vocalists of the moment, Stee Downes. Two different shades of Soul on one excellent release. Respect to Karsten John and the Vinyl Vibes family! (Straight No Chaser Magazine Winter 2004) Ed Eustace: The Dan Tune (Vinyl Vibes 001) So far Karsten John's Vinyl Vibes had „just“ been a Cologne based club night that even brought him the credit „Germanys premier retro dj“ in the UK. As a label owner he's now showing his futuristic side. Number 001 comes out of Dublin. With people like Rainer Trüby as a mentor since a while Ed Eustace shows a percussive freestyle track with „The Dan Tune“ that is â€" overflowing with ideas â€" playfull cutting and pasting between Brasil, Nujazz and Broken Beats. But the flipside hosts the ultimate winner. Teaming up with singer Stee Downes it features a spiritual Neo Boogie that belongs on every atmospheric dancefloor. What a start for the new label! 5/5 (Translated from De:bug Magazine) Vinyl Vibes is not only the clubnight of Karsten John in Cologne but recently also a label plattform. Number one is by Irish born Ed Eustace. Maw-like rhythms, Jazz-Fusion aesthetic and a straight multi level flow are the trademarks of this 12“ that works perfect in the club. If things keep developing like this there's absolutely no reason to worry about the label's future. 5/6 (Translated from Raveline Magazine) Quotes: A new talent from Dublin is finally getting its well-deserved release on Vinyl Vibes Records. “The Dan Tune“ is for the Jazz heads and “Disiples†is top notch Irish Boogie supreme… I like that! What a start for Vinyl Vibes Records, setting a high standard for things to come… (Rainer Trüby/Compost Records) Strong tunes. Big start for the Vinyl Vibes, keepin them alive , … “Jazz is and will be the teacherâ€! (Michael Rütten/Soulpatrol) Thanks for your killer tunes specially … Ed Eustace !… excellent for my floor! (FredBNX/Zimpala) … great sound, very cool … big respect for the debut 12“. (Dublex Inc./Pulver Records)
