Wah Wah 45s are proud to present 12-inch release number seven: the debut solo outing from one of our most exciting artists. The cat in the hat: Max Cole. Max is literally an all singing, all dancing, one man production unit, taking the mic for most vocal duties on his tracks, although is equally happy sharing the task. As young, multi instrumentalist, producer and vocalist (as well as ace music journalist!) it didn't take long for Max to get noticed, and once he'd joined the Wah Wah 45s fold it again wasn't long before the likes of Gilles Peterson were begging for copies of Max's tunes. In fact, it's this debut single that has already graced the Radio 1 airwaves on the DJ's acclaimed 'Worldwide' show. A future 'Worldwide Winner' perhaps? 'Mo' High? is set around a distinctive berimbau loop, giving it the feel of an instant Summer anthem. Add to that the perfectly awkward, fractured beats, Max's trademark synths, and the Curtis tinged vocals of the man himself and you've got a big tune in anyone's book! Just in case 'Mo' High? rocks your bedroom more than your dance floor, though, we've added extra value to this package by including a re-work from another of the UK's hottest young producers, Natural Self. The Breakin? Bread b-boy more than cuts the mustard with a top quality version. Surprisingly, Brighton dweller and hip hop/funk head Mr. Self adds what can only be described as a whole lot of West London flavour, with a little bit of Turkish delight thrown in. Rough! Already played by Gilles Peterson on Radio 1, and big tunes for Kev Beadle, Quantic, Faze Action and all the usual hedz!'

Been holing this one down for a while, but it will finally see the light of day in July. Twisted soul with a berimbau - Top tune! Also features a slightly nore beat laden mix from Natural Self. - Kev Beadle
