You Will Save Me (feat. Jessica Lauren)

A 2 track acid jazz single (16m 45s) — released March 26th 2007 on Wah Wah 45s

It’s been a long journey for this young producer and mutli-instrumentalist, ever since his nan introduced him to an Errol Garner record when he was 14. Scrimshire’s sound is steeped in jazz, soul and funk, but with a nod to contemporary sounds, and with strong popular song writing sensibilities. This man knows how to write a tune!! So, straight out of Scrimshire’s basement studio in Streatham, South London, we bring you the first single to be released on Wah Wah 45s from this exciting talent. ‘You Will Save Me’ started life as a gospel tune, but without the talents of The London Community Gospel Choir available, Scrimshire enlisted the help of well respected keyboard wiz Jessica Lauren to let her fingers do the talking on this anthemic, jazz/house monster. Remix pressure comes courtesy of fellow South Londoner Mark ‘Spiritual South’ Robertson, who ups the ante with a scorching piano-house remix, full of drama and breakdowns, as you would expect from such a production genius.
