Grasshopper

A 2 track balearic / downtempo single (8m 33s) — released July 11th 2005 on Wah Wah 45s

Wah Wah 45s are proud to present that increasingly rare thing: a 7-inch release! Our ninth 45 originates in Hungary and features erstwhile Crate Soul Brother, as well as solo recording artist in his own right, Erik Sumo. Erik joins the Easylifenatural band for a cheeky, jazzed up, breakbeat bomb,'Grasshopper'. With its chugging steam train intro making way for bouncy beats and amusing scat vocals, this is one instant club rocker. Though just to make sure, we've included a storming funk fuelled remix from none other than rising superstar, Nostalgia 77. The Tru Thoughts prodigy (who's currently receiving big props on Radio One from Gilles Peterson) delivers a more live sounding take, with wah wah guitars a plenty, the way we like it. Sure to be a big hit with all fans of dance floor funk and future jazz breaks! Wah Wah 45s...all the right records, not necessarily in the right order. Coming soon: new music from Aaron Jerome, Max Cole, Talc and more!'
