B.A.S.I.C.

A 5 track dub single (16m 43s) — released August 20th 2012 on Wah Wah 45s

With support from DJs as diverse as David Rodigan and Mark Lamarr, plus support slots over the last twelve months for Fat Freddy's Drop and The Selecter, Brighton dub outfit Resonators are starting to cause a real storm both in the reggae community and beyond.

Their new single, "B.A.S.I.C." is an anthemic slice of cross-over modern dub, with vocals led by Kassia Zermon, and remixes from reggae don Wrongtom (Ninja Tune / Tru Thoughts) who delivers a straight up jungle workout; Debian Blak whose weapon of choice is bass worrying dubstep with a touch of drum & bass; and newcomers AK-DK whose Cally Remix is a mid-tempo percussive shuffler with dirty bass synths and rolling sparse drums. And let's not forget the obligatory dub version from the boys and girls themselves! It's the taste of things to come for the band's debut album "The Constant", due to be released on Wah Wah 45s this autumn.
