Wah Friends Electric

A 19 track house album (1h 47m 5s) — released February 25th 2013 on Wah Wah 45s

For almost a decade and a half Wah Wah 45s have been releasing music with a soulful feel, regardless of sub-genre, many of which have no doubt ended up as staples of your local underground dance floor on a Saturday night. That's right, Wah Wah don't just do acoustic soul, brass band funk, dub reggae and foot friendly jazz, we've been dipping our toes in the world of four-to-the-floor for sometime and frankly we thought it was about time we shouted from the rooftops about it!

"Wah Friends Electric" covers the club friendly end of the Wah Wah back catalogue, from early latin-tinged tracks from PTH Projects and Max Cole, as well as a disco nugget from Jamie Finlay, to more recent house outings from Stac, Scrimshire and Part-Time Heroes. Add to that a heavy does of bass worrying input from Paper Tiger, and a selction of remixes from some of the UK's finest, including Ashley Beedle, Throwing Snow, Quantic and Hint, as well as US dons like DJ Spinna and Captain Planet, and you've got one serious document of dance music from the Wah Wah vaults.

Now go shake that ass.
