Djinji Brown's sound is indefinable by common terminology; words like good great and fantastic simplify what Djinji brings to the nation of groove. As anticipated he brilliantly refines how visions of soul are sonically received with his sophomore Yoruba Records release 'Afro Bionics'. Here we offer two exclusive remixes preceding the album release. "Sweat Shop" reworked by label mate and upcoming producer, Boddhi Satva brings Africa's tribal beats to the floor. Swinging beats, electronic synths and pads saturate and transform into a hypnotic treatment. "Ancestral Black" gets blessed by mystery man Afefe Iku. Taking Djinji's creation to more dynamic and techno realms. With his signature stabs and heavy rhythms, this one demands you to move. DJ support comes from Ame, sounds great ... Yoruba style! Martin Landsky boddhi sativa rmx is a bomb Losoul, loving the beats in Akefe Iku's Remix. Boddhi Sativa's brings it down. Laurent Garnier suuuupppeeerrrbbbbb i love both mixes full support Trickski, oomph... the bass just hit my chest. Great afefe iku mix, luv it Unabombers/Electric Chair/Xfm Manchester Lovin the Akefe Iku remix. Never anything but quality with Yoruba. Excellent Motorcitysoul, love the Yoruba stuff. It is old fashioned us house with a twist that makes it playable in- between really modern stuff. ace. Stuart Patterson (Faith) loving both of these remixes.. Jay Shepheard, Superb! Great release, love and will play both the tracks. Thanks, Ben Mono the Akefe Iku remix is a very nice one. Soon to be heard on the dance floors here in Argentina. Jay Tripwire yeah, akefu and my boy boddhi..lovin it.. Deepchild, this is the neo-afro-centric shizzle. Great for the 'after-rave' come-down set. Impossible not to like - all the classic jackin' house elements here.. Alex Attias soul, afro vibes, deep house and im ready to shake my legs. fine work! Mazi Namvar, Sweat Shop speaks to me here. I like the vocals where they are (low in the back) and the little melody does what it's supposed to; it worms it's way into your mind and echoes long after the song has stopped. Jori Hulkkonen, wow... very strong release, love it. radio & clubplay. Fafa Monteco I love the atmosphere on the afefe iku's dub. Wicked! Funk D Void brilliant....deep vibes, love it Christian Prommer yesyesyes i like a lot .
