Hexstatic return with the latest opus from 'Master View' - standout track 'Distorted Minds' with special guest Juice Aleem. Electro-spy theme with free associative rapping on a not so free world never sounded so good. Now throw in a bleeding-edge dance floor mix from Zero DB, plus a wide-eyed re-work of 'Perfect Bird' by Japanese duo Rainstick Orchestra and you have a package to reckon with. Hexstatic have been pioneers of audio-visual trickery in the UK, throwing their own brand of humour into the genre, but a focus on the visual tends to lead to the serious sound of some of their audio being ignored. 'Distorted Minds' is the perfect antidote, reminding you just how good their take on hard-edged electro-influenced dance music can be. Juice Aleem is best known for his work on Big Dada as part of New Flesh and Gamma, but has also collaborated with the likes of Adam Freedland, Si Begg and many others. There are few MCs in the UK who are as nimble, let alone who also have as much to say. Here he offers another masterclass in doing it right. Zero DB is Chris Vogado & Neil Combstock (respectively Barcelona & Tokyo based Brits) recently signed their brand of heavy dark jazz beats to Ninja and here offer a bass squelching classic which will have discerning floors stomping - both vocal and storming instrumental versions included. Feeling a little overwhelmed by all the badassness? Then skip to the end and take a bubble bath in Rainstick Orchestra's Japan jazz . Their mix of Perfect Bird is the 'perfect' way to round things off?'
