The Deptford five piece return with the first taste of their blinding new album, 'All Out Fall Out '. With less samples, more playing and a more controlled approach to their own hyperactivity, this is set to take them where no bunch of caners from South East London have ever been before. 'Pat Pong' is a bass-heavy funkster that combines jazz, house and a dirty mouth into the kind of effortless dancefloor smasher that will have people gurning and making shapes well into the next decade. With trombone and guitar soloes thrown in for fun and an underlying layer of melancholic electric piano, it's the drum programming and driving b-line that's going to lodge in your head. But that isn't all, no that isn't all, as the good Dr Seuss might put it. There's remixes, too? Solid Groove (aka Switch) goes all Never Mind the Balaerics and has us dreaming of electronic dawn. Meanwhile Tru Thought's Diesler gets his Bloco thing on, plays up the emotion and guarantees that the jazzier end of the nation's dancefloors are well catered for. Tired yet? Get a grip. The package is rounded out by Pest bonus track 'Chimps,' showcasing their own click-bitchery: a little like Scott Herren on E having sex with a large-breasted girl with a GSOH. And that's motherfucking tight, indeed.'
