it's been a whirlwind few months for One Self, first they dropped their debut single 'Be Your Own' to critical acclaim, then came Bluebird: the sweetest of summer records, then came the album to a barrage of slick reviews from the press, and in-between all this, the trio have been touring relentlessly across the globe. But hey, Vadim and crew were never going to sit on their laurels, were they? Yarah Bravo, Blu Rum 13 and DJ Vadim make up the supergroup that is One Self, and soon they'll be back from their travels for a 15 date tour of the UK. As if that's not enough, they've got a single to promote, and it's hotter than the English weather: a lot hotter! First up on this brand new single, comes the awesome, Paranoid: the heads will notice it ain't quite the same as the album version: this is the 12' version and sees additional butter-silk lyrics from Yarah, oozing and flowing dangerously like a black eyed python. Second up is Overexpose, taken from the debut One Self album. Yarah rhymes effortlessly (with Blu Rum's murmured concurrence) about those lady folk who feel they have to put themselves all over the place to be something? Come Along is third up, a sizzling new track not found on the album? Blu Rum leads this low slung, deeper excursion, sitting pretty with Vadim's neat production and Yarah's sweet bridges. On the Paranoid remix duties, comes a psychedelic dub version from J Star (n.b. not J Styles as per promo sleeve)'
